Peter Grunow
Founder & President
Peter inherited a love of gardening from his mother, who learned it from her mother. After college, he furthered that passion by attending the New York Botanical Garden’s School of Professional Horticulture. After graduation, he made his passion his business by founding Gro Pro Landscaping in 1986. That passion is still apparent in the hundreds of properties that have been beautifully transformed by Gro Pro over the last 35 years.
Originally from Massachusetts, Ed worked construction during the summers while in high school and college. He graduated from University of Colorado with a degree in Geology and opened his own irrigation company. After selling the business several years later, he joined Gro Pro in 1988 and thus began his title of ‘He who wears many hats’. Ed is intricately involved in all aspects of the day to day operations of Gro Pro with a focus on maintenance, construction
and hardscape.

Tom Homicki
Landscape Architect
Tom came to work for Gro Pro right out of college as a member of the crew working in the field. After seeing the construction, hardscape and design implementation part of the industry, Tom developed a love for plants and a fascination with design and ultimately was inspired to go back to school. He earned his degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and was hired full-time by Gro Pro as their in-house Landscape Architect. He has now been with Gro Pro for more than 20 years.
As the daughter of Italian immigrants who had farmland in Italy, a great love for the earth was instilled in Giovanna from a very young age. She grew up immersed in the lush gardens that her family cultivated upon their arrival to the US. Giovanna earned a degree in design and after many years in the corporate sector spearheading marketing and advertising campaigns for various industries, her longing to be back in the garden caused her to ultimately change careers. After apprenticing for an esteemed landscape designer for several years, Giovanna joined the Gro Pro family in 2016. Along with her creative abilities, she is committed to the environment and an organic approach to gardening.
