Gro Pro offers a full range of services. Being a design/build firm, we not only create a design for each residence but also implement it.

DesignsDesigns/Estimates
When hired, our in-house landscape architect along side Peter Grunow, work together to meet the needs of each homeowner. When it comes to design, we have the know how to not only help you with basic planting ideas such as screening beds, foundation plantings or specialty gardens, but we also design driveways, walkways, patios, retaining walls, pools, and fence placement. At times a small design fees may apply to help cover the time and cost of site visits, pictures, conceptual ideas and a final plan with estimate.

PlantingsPlantings
After a plan and estimate are agreed upon we move to start the project. Generally, we start by transplanting or removing the necessary plant materials. Then, bed shapes are discussed and laid out for the homeowner, which is followed by the placement of new plant material. Onsite changes can be made, for example if a client thought we needed to add or remove a few plants, it is not a problem. We have a three-acre holding nursery where we keep our top quality plants for up and coming jobs. Upon approval we edge the beds, plant and finally mulch.

Maintenance
Transplanting is a very involved process when it comes to moving large plant material. Generally we start by hand digging around the tree, carefully pruning delicate roots along the way. A machine may be used to remove large amounts of soil around the tree to allow easier access for our men. When the root ball is fully pruned and shaped we add burlap and wrap the tree to assure stability during the move. The machine is then brought back in to transfer the tree to its new location.

Masonry
When it comes to lawns and grades we have the capacity and machinery to deal with both. Some clients come to us post construction looking for a healthy level lawn, while others have had little success on their own and are looking for advice. We usually take a similar approach to each. The process would start by removing existing grass, if there is any, and discarding it. We then bring in the appropriate amount of fill and/or topsoil and roughly grade the sight. An irrigation system should be put in prior to final grading to assure a lasting product. A final grade is achieved through the use of a harley rake machine and hand grading. We are then ready to either lay sod or seed and hay.

DesignsWe do several jobs a year in which existing clients or new are selling their home and would like us to give it some curb appeal. Generally the budget is tight, but you would be surprised what a difference we could make.  We primarily clean up the front foundation, transplant out overgrown or unattractive plants, shape the bed, add new plant material and mulch. In some cases, we are asked to go a step further by redesigning the driveway and or doing some masonry work. At any rate the homeowner usually recoups the landscaping expense after the sale of their house.

Masonry
MasonryGro Pro employs nine full-time skilled masons. They have the capability to create basic walkways, patios, belgian block aprons and curbing to more elaborate retaining walls, pillars, fireplaces and barbeques.

Although Gro Pro does not mow lawns or blow leaves, we do provide a spring clean up service that includes pruning, edging of beds and mulching. We also do the same kind of service in the fall to put the planting beds to rest.
